TrentTakesOn 2.0
A podcast about a little bit of everything from an everyman. Join Trent as he takes on modern society, politics, fatherhood, health, self-improvement, and the journey to make the world a better place for future generations. Trent is a progressive everyman, swinging for the fences every single day. Hear stories from the 80s, takes on conservatism, the importance of listening and a veritable potpourri of jetsam from a sometimes fractured stream of consciousness. The first step to being a better human is opening up your mind and heart. Remember, we're all in this together. Intro and Outro music by The Ska'd Fathers written by Darren Murdock, Larry McCoy, Jason Jones, Brent Killey, John Tovaas and me...Trent Maddox. Artwork by my lovely wife, Emily. "Unintended Consequences"
Violence is wrong. Murder is wrong. All violence, of all levels. But does everyone actually feel that way? Is this a "both sides" situation?
Following the murder of Charlie Kirk, the backlash from the right has been excessive and terrifying. But who remembers the name Melissa Hortman? She was assassinated less than 3 months ago, and the reaction wasn't quite the same.
And what other political violence have we not addressed equally?
Think.
